Toyota has announced a £250 million investment in East Midlands facilities, in a move welcomed as “very positive” by local business leaders.
Despite much speculation that car manufacturers would abandon the UK following the Brexit vote, Toyota Motor Europe CEO Dr. Johan van Zyl said the company was “very focused on securing the global competitiveness of our European plants”.
Ukip will cause an “even bigger earthquake” than last year’s vote to leave the EU if Theresa May fails to deliver in the coming Brexit negotiations, Nigel Farage has predicted.
Nigel added that it was “unfashionable” for politicians to accept that immigration controls were the main reason behind last yesterday’s referendum result, warning that it would be “nothing short of a total betrayal” for the UK not to take back full control over border policy.
